Enrique Vargas is a senior associate in the International Trade and Customs practice, specializing in structuring international trade transactions and managing regulatory risks throughout the entire logistics chain. He advises and represents companies on international contracts, the application of trade agreements, customs planning, and trade compliance programs, as well as in audits and customs litigation proceedings. He has extensive experience in origin verifications and investigations related to trade remedy measures (antidumping, countervailing duties, and safeguards).
He completed an internship at a leading global shipping company in Melbourne, Australia, strengthening his expertise in maritime trade and international logistics. He is consistently recognized as an “Associate to Watch” by Chambers and Partners and as a “Leading Associate” by The Legal 500.
He actively participates in the Trade Facilitation Committee of AmCham Peru. He is the author of specialized articles, a co-author of publications on the subject, and a speaker at academic and business forums. He also teaches courses on international trade and customs at the Graduate School of ESAN University.
