Ricardo Montero is a partner and head of the Litigation, Corporate, and Dispute Resolution practices. He has more than 25 years of experience advising companies on conflict resolution, agreement negotiations, commercial transactions, and arbitration, as well as on business development and structuring.
His practice focuses on litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution, and he has represented and defended companies in private-party arbitration proceedings, as well as in arbitrations between companies and the government. He has also been appointed as an arbitrator in various disputes and has actively participated in negotiations and the drafting of complex corporate agreements.
Throughout his career, he has served as lead outside legal counsel for major companies, overseeing their legal departments and participating in corporate reorganization and liquidation processes. His experience spans various sectors, including commodities, construction, hospitality, real estate, and retail.
He is a founder and the current Secretary of the Peruvian-Australian Chamber of Commerce (APCCI). He has also served as an arbitrator for the Arbitration Center of the Lima Chamber of Commerce, the OSCE, and the Arbitration Center of the Peruvian College of Engineers, and has served on various judicial and institutional representation committees.
